Toddlers

Toddlers

Our Toddler program is designed for children 13 months “and a day” to 36 months of age. We focus on creating a learning environment for this age group based on play while introducing them to science, art, music and language. At this age, children are sensory-motivated. They learn through touching, tasting, seeing and smelling as well as listening. Our educational goal is to utilize the natural curiosity of the toddler and help them discover learning can be fun.

Our educators, trained in early childhood development, consider each child’s personality when developing lessons that support learning through everyday experiences. Building upon the basic areas of development for the infant, the toddler program strives to provide your child with activities that strengthen communication skills, emotional development, cognitive learning, social interaction, and fine and gross motor movement.

Our toddlers will learn how to express themselves by associating needs with words, identifying emotions and controlling them in a positive way, and developing an ability for pretend play. Toddlers will learn how to complete life skills independently such as eating with utensils, drinking from a cup, napping on a raised rest mat, sitting for short finger plays and stories and most importantly, begin the monumental task of learning how to share and interact successfully with other children.

Our educators work closely with our parents to provide a nurturing, learning environment away from home while creating a sense of assurance for each child and parent.
